I just got off the phone with the radiation oncologist. Wednesday I will start the mapping process, which is an extensive CT scan. They’ll have me doing breathing exercises and movement testing so they can map my breathing and body movement during radiation to help protect everything around the treatment area.

The lesions are located from T7 through T10 and are very close to my spinal cord. Because of how close everything is, they’re not sure yet if they’ll be able to safely radiate all of it.

I won’t know how many radiation treatments I’ll need until after mapping, but treatments will most likely start at the beginning of June.
