Update for 7-9-19

Just left my Endocrinologist at UCLA. The whole body scans shows multiple small “light ups” in my neck.  Scan also shows a spot In my lower sternum. It’s hard to pinpoint due to limitations with this type of scan. The doctor does have a slight concern because this spot was also visible after my first radioactive iodine treatment in 2016. It was also visible in the whole body scan that occurred January of this year (2019).  He is concerned that this spot will not be destroyed by my most recent radioactive treatment. My next step is to see my surgeon to discuss the option of surgery in the future.  Meanwhile we will watch my thyroglobulin numbers to see if they go down.
