Today I got the call from my Thoracic surgeon.  The spot that they biopsied came back positive for thyroid cancer. She wants to do surgery this September (2020).  I have an appointment to talk to her in detail on Wednesday.

They plan to perform the surgery at UCLA and they would be going in through my left side.  She is hoping she can go in and cut it out.  She does have a concern that the affected tissue is surrounding the 1st rib and part of the sternum.

If this is the case she will need to remove part of my 1st rib and a part of my sternum.  I appreciated your prayer that this would not be the case!
