I know a lot of you have been asking for an update. I had been waiting for all the tests to come in before making a new post.

I had my ultrasound 2 weeks ago and the results were good.  Ultrasound showed no inflamed lymph nodes. The bad news is that means we still don’t know why the numbers for thyroglobulin are up. I was depending on the PET scan to answer that question. PET was supposed to be today, December 14th.  Yesterday I got the call from Loma Linda financial department letting me know the insurance decided it was not medically necessary!  I did request an appeal, Loma Linda furnished clinical notes again. This morning still got denied.  We have ordered a peer to peer, but this has not helped in the past. I have been waiting for over a month for this appointment to find out the day before they denied it.  At this point I will probably be needing to pay cash if I want to get it.  The PET SCAN is the only way to find where the Cancer is and why my Thyroglobulin is elevated to 39.  

The stress of this insurance has me tired and discouraged.  I want to thank all of you for your prayers and support.  I know so many people have been praying for me. I can feel in my heart God will take care of this one way or another.  Please continue to pray for the insurance to approve this PET. Every day we pray for a miracle once again that nothing is found and my thyroglobulin goes down.

I thank God every day for the support system He has given me with my family. God has blessed me with friends and my horses that keep me sane and busy.  This all helps me to keep my mind off things and from sitting around dwelling on what will happen next.
