Update for 10-5-18

My ultrasound was done On September 25th. It shows as normal which is good as the last one showed several lymph nodes over 1cm. My thyroglobulin “goblins” blood work came back at 27, when it should be zero.

On September 28, Dr. Walker told me that although the ultrasound was a good report, we still have to explain why the blood levels are high.  This means there are affected cells somewhere and we do not know where.  My two doctors recommend surgery in both sides of the neck to remove all lymph nodes that might possibly be affected.  Dr. Walker and I both agreed this was an aggressive move and do not feel like it is the best option at this time.  We decided to do a new blood test for thyroglobulin levels in November.

So how do I feel about all this?  Discouraged.   I am wanting to know where the affected cells are at.  God can do this but right now I am having a problem staying positive.  This is like a roller coaster and I do not get to get off.

Prayer requests:

·         The “goblins” go down or even completely away.

·         If tests need to be performed the insurance does not think twice about it.

·         Strength to stay positive
