Christy here, since things are at a standstill right now and we are playing the waiting game I figured I would give an update this time.

I started the iodine diet last Wednesday. Wednesday was a hard day, I cry a lot realizing that this journey is going to bring some major life changes. Although the iodine diet will only be until they can do that iodine pill it still is a lot to take in. My goal is to start a alkaline diet of some sort after the pill. Clean eating is so much better for my body.

I do not have a date for when I will be taking the radio active iodine pill. I am waiting for a couple tests to come back and then we will schedule a date if my iodine levels in my body is low enough. Trevor and the kids and I took our motor home down to Oceanside beach for two days. The beach RV parks are usually very hard to get into and expensive, but at this time of the year it’s off-season so it’s much easier.

Trevor went to his doctor Tuesday, unfortunately, he is going back to work for health insurance reasons he has to. He is still in pain from his back, but as he says “you do what you have to do.” I married a wonderful man who has truly done EVERYTHING for me in ways I never dreamed possible. He has not left my side, and has sacrificed everything for me every day. I feel blessed to have somebody love me as deeply as he does.

Prayer requests

• That Trevor finds a new job that does not require so much lifting and that the Company he works for actually appreciates him
• That all of the iodine is out of my system & that the wait time for the iodine pill treatment is minimal.
