Christy met with the doctor today. There is good news. After three months on the iodine treatment, the thyroglobulin, which was 600 before her surgery, is down to 19. This is good news because the final level needs to be at zero. This means everything is moving in the right direction

The lump that Christy felt is actually a knot in a tendon which was a result from the surgery. The doctor ordered a cat scan which will give a more accurate view of how the treatment is progressing. The doctor was very encouraging and said he would be surprised to find anything major after this point!
