Christmas Day was wonderful for me. All three of our “kids” were at our home (Paul & Donna Cox) for Christmas dinner. We really enjoyed our grown children, their spouses, and the seven grands, Paul’s brother & sister-in-love, Sharon and a dear family friend.

The Tuesday after Christmas at 8:00 A.M. Christy and Trevor went to the Loma Linda Cardio Thoracic Surgery department that did surgery on November 29th. They saw a resident and she said everything is healing very quickly. She was impressed on how well Christy is recouperating.

At 3:00 yesterday Trevor and Christy went to the Endocrinologist, Doctor Gianoukakis with UCLA. (This is the Dr that was recommended by the specialists at M.D. Anderson). Wow!! What a blessing this Doctor is, He is so thorough. He has Christy doing a low iodine diet and many tests to prepare her for the iodine pill. He is hoping to have her take the pill within 2 weeks. The Doctor will put Christy in a isolated hospital room for 48 hours or until the blood comes back at a radiation level that is safe for her to go home. There are lots of tests to follow this treatment. The upside is this Doctor will do them all and keep a close eye on her progress. If uptake on iodine is not satisfactory this Doctor has been involved with various trails for many years and they are now approved and he has had success with them. This Doctor was very encouraging to Trevor and Christy and a real answer to prayer.

• Uptake of iodine will be 100% effective!
• Safe travels for Christy, she will be doing a lot of driving to Los Angeles.
• Trevor’s back is still very painful and he has only until January 13th off on disability. Pray his doctors can find an answer to remove the pain or keep him on disability until he can receive treatments that help. Lord, please heal Trevor’s back of all pain!
