Christy and Trevor are coming home from Texas Thursday, December 22nd 1

After Christy’s appointment with the surgeon on Monday, she emailed Dr. Cabanillas to tell her how distraught she was after that appointment with him. Dr. Cabanillas called Christy yesterday, she was very kind and felt bad that the surgeon upset her. She did agree that the surgeon was coming from a surgical view and that there is disease still in her body.

Dr. Cabanillas did mention again, that she can make no guarantees but is confident that that iodine treatment will take. She also reassured Christy that the doctor at UCLA will take the appropriate steps before administrating the iodine treatment. She is speaking very highly of this doctor at UCLA. Although Christy was focusing more on the fact that she said there is still disease, after processing and discussing it with Trevor he reassured her that she needs to focus more that the iodine treatment May work! Originally before their trip to Texas they were told that iodine pill may not work on this type of Cancer now there is a greater chance that it will. That is an answer to prayer if it does work!

The UCLA doctor’s office called today and made Christy an appointment for December 27 at 3 o’clock. Christy and Trevor cannot believe how God has blessed her with everything happening so fast. December 27 is two months from her first surgery. Meaning that in a two month time frame Christy has had two extensive surgeries, flown to Texas to see specialists and now an appointment with a UCLA doctor to get the iodine treatment started.

Christy and Trevor were able to get a first class ticket home tomorrow instead of Friday. They did not have to pay any fees whatsoever. Christy and Trevor are grateful they will get home to the kids sooner.

God is good! Continued prayers are welcome!

So glad to hear each answer along the way. We keep praying. God knows all. Praying His solutions and sensitivity to her needs and care are revealed quickly to each doctor. Thankful for quick appointments. May God’s love be revealed ever more deeply to each of you through this process. Love and prayers. Sharon
