This page will have all the updates for today’s surgery:

7:41AM: They just wheeled her off they will notify Trevor when they start. They are expecting 3 hours as long as plan A works.

9:37AM: UCLA has a system that sends text updates to Trevor. He received a notice that the procedure has started.

10:25AM: Christy is safely out of surgery. The surgeon is giving Trevor an update and I’ll post more information at 11:00AM.

10:58AM: The surgeon had a thought right before she started and decided to make a small incision in chest. She feels that, from this small opening, she was able to see everything that was going on. She saw multiple lymph nodes that appeared to be affected. She removed them and sent them to pathology. She also saw a string of lymph nodes that are connected to an artery. They did not look to be affected. Furthermore, removing them was not worth the risks involved. The surgeon will be reviewing the situation with Christy and her other doctors to decide the next step. But for now, Christy is in recovery and may go home today!
