Finally saw my endocrinologist today.  Wanted to get the official CT scan results (hear it from that doctor). Looks like everything is exactly what we thought when we read report.  There was no sign of any affected lymph nodes!!

This week I took a blood test and my Thyroglobulin levels are holding steady at 15 (they should be at zero). This means there are still some unwanted cells somewhere, but they are too small to detect.

The higher thyroglobulin levels could also be caused by cells that are still reacting to the iodine pill I took February of last year. The Dr. did mention that sometimes it takes up to a year for the radioactive iodine to clear out of the system.  At this point the Dr. has ordered blood work to be done every three months starting in March. He also ordered a CT scan to be done in May.

God is wonderful!  Hard to believe we were told a year ago that it was rare and untreatable “C”, chest cracked, throat slit (little dramatic), 27 Infected lymph nodes and a 9 cm tumor in my neck removed and here we are a year later with great thyroglobulin levels and nothing showing up on scan.

Prayers that next blood test in March will be zero!! I HAVE THE FAITH TO BELIEVE THIS!!
